They seem like the type of dudes that might enjoy a little Rez: And Continuum for DOS: The Katamari games, Earthbound, Nights Into Dreams? They all seem like pretty plugged-in dudes. EDIT: Boogerman & Battletoads

The game's made by Torahhorse who's also part of Arcane Kids, the people who made Sonic Dreams Collection. If you check out SDC you might notice some similarities, like the physics and the game logic for grabbing things and rotating them etc. (though the physics might just be cause they're using Unity)
The propjumps you have to do to get the tape on top of the waterfall in Capsule Silence is similar to some propjumps you have to do in SDC to get a secret powerup.
